ICT Competency Standards for Philippine Pre-Service Teacher Education.
I learned that technology is changing the way students learn and teachers work. Teacher's should use the seven domains in ICT Competency Standards for Pre-service Teacher and apply the ISTE National Education technology standards for teachers, to improve their teaching skills and to get the lessons more interested. Every teacher should have knowledge in ICT to be able to prepare today’s students for tomorrow. The teacher should
prepare to cope up with different technology for using them in the classroom for making teaching learning interested.Teaching and learning is very important in our society. ICT helps the teacher to update the new knowledge, skills to use the new digital tools and resources. By using and acquire the knowledge of ICT, student teacher will become effective teachers. It has a big help in students and teacher in teaching learning
process. Teacher's should also use technology to facilitate a variety of effective assesment and evaluation strategies.
I felt that if all teacher's has competency standard of ICT their work is done more easier, because now information and technology is popularly using in educational field for making teaching learning process successful and interesting for students and teacher both. Technology in another side can be the most effective way to increase the student’s knowledge. So for this reason ICT is very much necessary for Teacher Education.
I developed my knowledge in ICT, as an effective tool for acquiring information, and as a students I encouraged to look for information from different sources and now I am more informed than before. Techonology gives me the opportunity to realize my full potential, I develop my critical skills through different activities regarding in ICT. And I also developed my skills in participating on different activities because of the advance and interesting tools for teaching.
